From the 1930 Savoy Cocktail Book. Canadian whiskey, Italian vermouth, and Jamaican ginger (I substituted Canton Ginger liqueur). A very pleasant golden drink, well balanced and with just a hint of spice. I like it. I might add a dash of yellow Chartreuse or a drop of honey.
